Dr. Desiree Hsiou is a Board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and specializes in braces and clear aligner treatment for adults and adolescents.
Dr. Desiree received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of the Pacific, Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Following her father’s footsteps, she went to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of California, Los Angeles where she was awarded the prestigious Dr. William S. Kramer Award of Excellence and was accepted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Society. Dr. Desiree graduated Cum Laude and was awarded the UCLA School of Dentistry Section of Orthodontics Award upon graduation. Dr. Desiree loved improving her patients’ smiles and confidence so she decided to pursue a career in orthodontics.
At the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Desiree completed her orthodontic training and her Masters degree in Oral Biology. Dr. Desiree served as chief resident in her last year of residency, and her research on a tele-orthodontic remote monitoring program was given the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists Resident Research Award.
After spending three years in Boston, Dr. Desiree decided to move back home to serve the community in San Diego. Dr. Desiree enjoys traveling, yoga, golf, and cooking and usually spends her weekends with her poodle, Daisy.
